Chrissy Teigen has shared the heartbreaking news that her cherished family dog, Penny, has passed away. In an emotional Instagram post on Saturday, the model revealed that her French Bulldog, affectionately known as the “tripod queen,” peacefully passed away in her sleep.
“Our beautiful little tripod queen, Penny, passed on peacefully in her sleep today,” Chrissy wrote, reflecting on the joy Penny brought to their family.
Penny held a special place in Chrissy and John Legend’s hearts. Remarkably, she was born the same day the couple tied the knot 11 years ago. “She was there for us for every baby, every loss, every joy,” Chrissy shared, emphasizing Penny’s constant presence through life’s highs and lows.
John echoed Chrissy’s sentiments, commenting on the post, “I loved this girl. We will miss you, Penny.”
Alongside her tribute, Chrissy posted a series of touching photos showcasing Penny’s life with the family. She highlighted Penny’s love for attention, writing, “She loved nothing more than being loved, having her nub rubbed, and destroying any ball she could get her paw on, even til her last weeks.”
Chrissy concluded her heartfelt message with a poignant reminder: “Never forget that while every pup is just a few chapters in your long life, for them, you are their entire book, their entire lives. Oh Penny. We were so beyond lucky to have you. Say hi to Puddy and Pippa for us. You are all together again. 🤍”
Penny’s memory lives on in the hearts of the Legend-Teigen family and everyone who adored her.
